Fast-growing shrub which has flowers almost every day, from late Spring to Autumn. Large, saucer-shaped flowers, shell-pink with red eye. Leaves are grey-green, large, interestingly lobed, turning yellow in Autumn before falling. Ideal as a specimen or for planting en-masse. Useful for inclusion in mixed or shrub borders.
Suitable for: Prefers full sun but will tolerate very light shade on a wide range of soil conditions, except extremely wet or dry. May need protection in cold Winters.
Height and Spread in 10 years: 3m x 3m (10ft x 10ft). If recommended pruning is carried out.
Planting: Soak the rootball before planting. Plant in a hole twice the diameter of the rootball or pot. Mix an organic soil improver and general fertiliser with the infill soil. Water regularly until established.
Care: Shorten back all previous season's growth to within 5cm (2in) of their origin in early to mid Spring to improve flowers and foliage.
