Suitable for: A deep-rooting plant, prefers a rich light soil in sun. Ideal for tubs and pots.

Culinary uses: Young leaves add bite to salads. Roots may be lifted and forced into leaf for Wintersalads. Roots may be boiled and eaten as a vegetable, or roasted to make a coffee substitute.
