An upright perennial producing tall spikes of deep burgundy-red flowers over bronzy-red leaves. Ideal in borders and containers.
Flowering time: Mid to late summer.
Height and Spread: 75cm x 30cm.
Suitable for: Full sun in any moist but well drained soil.
Planting: Water the pot, leave to drain. Prepare hole large enough to avoid damage to the roots, dig moist compost and fertiliser into the planting hole. Remove container and position so that it is 15mm below final soil level. Fill with soil mixture, firm in, water well.
Care: Water regularly in the first year until the plant is well established.
Caution: Harmful if eaten.
