To enter and leave our world, fairies (and other magical creatures) need their own entrances. Sometimes they use fairy doors, but often there's nowhere for a door to be placed- on a lawn for example. That's where a fairy hatch comes in. A fairy hatch is a horizontal entrance to the underworld- it looks like a tree stump with fungi on the side, but open the hatch and you're presented with steps leading down into the earth. Of course, being a fairy hatch, those steps are covered in glitter from all the fairies that have passed this way over time.
The Fiddlehead fairy hatch measures 6.5cm in diameter and is made from resin, so is fine for use outside all year round.
