The Pieris japonica 'Mountain fire' has young leaves that have an attractive evergreen shrub which is red at first at then turn to a glossy chestnut brown.
Suitable for: Best in acidic, humus rich, moist, well drained soil in sun or partial shade. Needs protection from frost.
